SLEEVELESS SHIRT / WOMEN

A sleeveless shirt with a shirt-like cut and short hem for a light
and airy look. Details such as the slit at the shoulder,
buttons placed slightly off center front, and contrasting stitching
on the placket are MIZEN's unique suggestions
that embody a design rich in detail.

JFLS01
SHIFTED LAYER MINI SKIRT / WOMEN

A mini skirt with relax silhouette alternately cut
with wool fabric. The wide waist belt features narrow
insets, adding accentuation to the design.
By shifting the buttons and closing the zipper,
the overlapping front panels can create
an asymmetric silhouette.

JAOP02
V-NECK LAYERED ASYMMETRIC FLARE DRESS / WOMEN

A V-neck dress with a bodice that uses the full width of
approximately 38 cm of kimono fabric, overlaying a front-to-back
pattern over a horizontally joined inner layer.

The skirt is designed to add volume by joining trapezoidal patterns
cut from the width of the fabric, with MIZEN's original lace tape
adding an accent along the straight edges. A luxurious piece
made from a full length of kimono fabric, emphasizing its opulence.

The Tsumugi Weave, Created by Nature, Human Heart and Craftsman's Skill

Haebaru Hanaori, a tradition passed down from parent to child since the 19th century, saw a significant development in 1914 with the establishment of the Haebaru Village Supplementary School. There, many women learned the art of Hanaori weaving. The techniques learned at the school merged with the ancestral Hanaori weaving techniques and evolved into a unique craft.

After the Second World War, the survivors, in the midst of poverty, gathered various materials and dedicated themselves to reviving the production of textiles. And even today, the weaving continues, constantly improved to meet the needs of the present.

A Project to Interpret the Unseen
