Now, with all doubts cast by colors stripped away,
Simply feel the true expression woven directly by the threads themselves.
Since the launch of our 2022 Project, MIZEN has collaborated with over twelve kimono production regions and unveiled numerous collections.
With the announcement of this collection, we are introducing a standardized lineup, unified in black, using textiles that we have previously introduced.
The first release includes collections made with materials from Ushikubi Tsumugi in Ishikawa and Ribbon Ori (silk ribbon textile) in Kyoto.

A large cape that combines knitting with kimono fabric.
The original kimono width is retained, creating a silhouette
that resembles a haori (short Japanese overgarment).
Featuring four buttons at each shoulder,
a front placket and buttonholes at the cuffs,
this one-size-fits-all unisex cape offers
endless styling possibilities. The cape can be worn
over kimonos as well as western clothing.

Two "Raden Ori" mother-of-pearl inlays grace

regardless of gender.

An updated sleeveless v-neck layered top,
cut from a single 38cm wide piece of fabric
that stretches from front to back.
Now with raglan sleeves, it offers the comfort
of a T-shirt with the added elegance of
MIZEN's original matching 'BLACK' silk ribbon
applied to the asymmetric V-neckline and body edges.

Utilising the narrow width of the kimono fabric,
this skirt is cut in a trapezoidal pattern
and joined in two layers to create a luxurious flared line,
creating a voluminous silhouette. The skirt is embellished
with MIZEN's original matching 'BLACK' silk ribbon
applied to the straight sections of the kimono fabric
and finished with a stepped hem for a bold and elegant look.
