My journey into woodworking began (in childhood) at an early age.
Inspired by the Buddhist statues of Kyoto, I was determined to someday create something that would ignite prayer.
I aim to create sculptures that flow with the grain of the wood, conversing with nature. When using a carving knife,
I work with the wood's texture, not only by not going against the direction of the texture
but also by smoothly (carving) gliding the knife to bring my pieces to life.

My favorite phrase is "The greatest way to live is like water(上善如水).
" I strive to craft works that possess the presence of water.
My approach is dualistic: one of quiet meditation and the other driven by stirring emotions.
My creations capture both the serene ripples on a calm water surface and the intense moments within a raging current.

I aspire to create works that blend seamlessly with nature. I believe that human touch enhances natural beauty.
I am committed to crafting beautiful works that resonate with the human heart and inspire prayer.
